Sunday, May 01, 2011

Another Italianese Restaurant is in town - Capricciosa Pasta & Pizza which nestled inside Sunway Pyramid shopping center. After read some good comments from blogger friends, I had decided to give it a try. Capricciosa specializes in pastas & pizzas and serves authentic Italian dishes in large portions.

The founder of Capricciosa who is a Japanese. Surprise isn't it? A Japanese who open an Italian Restaurant instead a sushi restaurant. By the way, this is the first restaurant in Malaysia and it is only available in Pyramid Shopping Mall.

Let's start with the starter first.

Italian Vegetable & Meat soup - RM7.90

The portion was big and can share with 2 or 3 friends. The taste of the soup was really great and delicious. It taste creamy. I'm a vege lover and it was great that the chef mixed the soup with lotsa vegetables :)

Spaghetti with Calamari and Onions in Squid Ink Sauce - RM16.90
I guess, this might be one of their signature dish.

Dare to eat?

Smelly?
Some people might dislike the smell of the dark squid spaghetti.

BEWARE!
Your tongue will get poisoned!!!

How was the taste? It actually taste a bit salty.

Capricciosa Pizza - RM16.90

The pizza was great!!!!

Overall, their foods were great, so I was happily leaving some good comments to them :)

  1. Guess what, I have just come back from Kota Kinabalu and had this delicious pasta with squid ink too in an Italian restaurant! It was so authentic and it tasted so good. The first time I had pasta with squid ink was during my trip in Italy. Ever since then I missed it so much until I finally find the similar dish in KK.

Now that you showed us this lovely Capricciosa Pasta & Pizza post so I know where to get it again! And yes, right after the meal we had to go back to the hotel to brush our teeth :-D

Yes, the price is quite reasonable and portion is moderate. The portion of the spaghetti might be a bit big for us (girl) :D
