Fontana di Trevi @ Rome, Italy

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

Beside the astonishing Colosseum, another attraction in Rome is the famous Trevi Fountain. There is a story saying that if you make a wish at Trevi Fountain following by throwing a coin into the fountain, then you are ensured a return to Rome. I did threw a coin but I didn't make any wish, it was just for fun :)

Day 14 - 23.07.09 (Thursday)
p/s: currency exchange rate at July 2009, £1 = RM5.80 & €1 = RM4

View from our B&B.
After having a light breakfast at our B&B, we were ready our journey in Rome on the second day.

Gelato - €3.50

Still remember that there is a gelato shop nearby our B&B? We have it again!!! You must eat a lot of gelato when travel to Italy!!! :D We tried some new flavour and we required to put the gelato in a cup instead of a cone because we already have it yesterday. Two different flavours of gelato & comes with a piece of crunchy cookies.

Venetian Masks

more!!!

So beautiful!!! I bought few venetian masks for myself as a collection.

We stopped by another souvenir shop. I barely remember this shop's owner was a Chinese who can speak Mandarin.

Beautiful mask!

Spray Perfume in a very unique bottle.

Heading to Trevi Fountain. It was very crowded with the tourist & peoples around.

Fontana di Trevi (in Italian)
I always saw Trevi Fountain in the drama and I couldn't believe that I had the chance to visit here. Finally, I am here to make a wish.

Clear & blue water. But the weather was extremely hot.

I gonna show many pictures of Trevi Fountain here :) Enjoy ya!

Here's the video I took at Trevi Fountain.

A story to share here. I was actually standing beside the trevi fountain and suddenly, this guy (Bangladesh) was approaching me by giving me some roses which I'm holding on the above photo. I knew it was for sell, so I rejected him. But he keep passing the roses to me and say "Free". So I took the rose and took a photo. After finished took the photo, he came to me and ask for some money. I said "NO" and gave the roses back to him. Luckily he didn't punch me or something bad happen to me. Lesson to learn: DON'T ever take any things from strangers although they keep claiming that it is FREE.

A random building in front of trevi fountain.

Poor bf was actually fall sick today causing by the hot weather.

This was the coin I threw inside Trevi Fountain.

There were many foods stall/shop in front of Trevi Fountain too.

Fruits & breads.

Wide range of colourful spaghetti.

Okies! One last picture of Trevi Fountain.

Gelato time again!
p/s: My skin was TAN! It was only the 2nd day at Rome. Sob!

p/s: Shan Shan, I think we bought the gelato from the same shop that you mentioned to me. It was just beside the fountain.

Narrow street.
No cars are allow here, so we have to walk all the way from main street.

Enjoying life by sitting outside the restaurant and have a cup of drink + sharing, chit-chatting moments with your friends. *love it* p/s: I wanna go for holidays again!

Random souvenir stall on the street.

We were heading to the next tourist spot after Trevi Fountain.

  4. 那Trevi Fountain难道每次都人山人海的!
    我去的时候人也多到我挤到半死,所以一点都不浪漫,根本不可能会出现像戏里的浪漫感觉!>.<

    anyway,我丢了马币下去喷泉make a wish!哈哈哈哈哈哈 XD

  6. Dear Choi Yen,
It depends on what type & what size of the mask. I bought the small size one. Although it might be a bit expensive but I buy few for collection :) As a memory too.

    Dear YT,
J, I learned a new word today - IMHO. First time saw leh~ "In my humble opinion" :D I think Italy is beautiful too despite Rome. HAHA.. I haven't got the chance yet to visit Florence & Venice. Both of this place is beautiful.

    Dear 棠子,
    对啊!这是夏天的罗马。我很辛苦才找到个位子在喷泉前拍照,真的很难挤出一个地方。

    Dear ~

    Dear Hayley,
Yes, hard to get a place to take picture in front of the fountain.
