金のうま Kin No Uma Japanese Restaurant @ Palace of the Golden Horses

Although I don't really eat raw foods, Japanese foods is still my favourite. Kin No Uma Japanese Restaurant which nestled inside Palace of the Golden Horses serves really delectable Japanese foods and this is definitely a favourite spot for Japanese food lovers.

Every corner was nicely decorate with Japanese theme.

Menu with some decorated bamboo material.

There are 3 different kinds of seating area and this is one of it.

Second seating area where you will have the chance to testimony the preparation of the sushi by the chef.

3rd seating area. This is more like a private room and the traditional seating area by the Japanese.


This is Chef Khair who began his culinary career 24 years ago in Japan, at one of the Sushi restaurant in Kyoto. During his 15 years working experience, he gained unquantifiable professional culinary experience.


Kin No Uma offers great tasting authentic Japanese cuisine in a traditional Japanese setting. Relish in a pot-pourri of delicious aromatic Japanese variation. Their experienced chef offers the finest Japanese cuisine such as sushi, kaiseki, tempura, teppanyaki and many more.

Not to forget the Green Tea when you are having Japanese foods.

Sunomono Mariawase - RM34
Assorted seafood, seaweed and cucumber in vinegar sauce

Maguro Natto - RM24
Tuna with fermented soya bean


Gyu Tataki - RM28
Raw Beef with Ponzu Sauce. Serve it together with the sauce and it taste good

Kuruma Ebi Motoyaki - RM48
Grilled king prawn with mayonnaise sauce

Uma Hooseki Tsukuri Moriawase (Shashimi) - RM165
Deluxe assortment of seasonal raw fish - types of seafood and 3 slices each

Every slices was so fresh. It was my first time try raw fish, I tried raw tuna and it taste not bad. But I need some time to accept raw fish. Good attempt.

Kin No Uma Roll (sushi dish) - RM58
Deep-fried king prawn, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, mayonnaise, cheese wrapped with seaweed, sushi rice and fish roe.

Oyster Teppanyaki (half doze) - RM46

Normally we will have the raw oyster but this is the teppanyaki style one. It taste great!

Garlic fried rice - RM17
LoVe this!! Garlic fried rice serve together fried salmon skin. It was really delicious and the fried salmon skin was crispy.

Tanuki Udon Matawa Soba - RM27.50
Buckwheat or thick noodles in hot broth with deep-fried tempura fritters

It is ok to have the slurping sounds when eating udon noodles because you couldn't resist the yummylicious of the udon.

Maruyama Tempuraa - RM42
Deep-fried assorted seafood and vegetables in batter

Kin No Uma Bento (Dinner Set) - RM89

Dinner box with Sashimi, Sushi, Sunomono, Agemono and Yakimono. Slices of imported Tuna and Salmon, Unagi Sushi, Marinated baby octopus and Crabmeat with Vinegar, Prawns and Vegetables Tempura, Grilled Salmon and Scallop with Terriyaki Sauce.


Chef told us that this is one of the popular bento during dinner time. Can't deny that they serve really fresh foods.

Sashimi To Tempura Set (Lunch Set) - RM60
Assorted raw fish and deep-fried seafood, vegetables with batter served with salad, rice, chawan mushi, miso soup, pickles and fruits.



Beside the popular dinner set, we were given the chance to try the popular bento set during lunch hour. Both portion was quite huge but I'm sure, as a Japanese food lovers surely they will finish it. From the picture, you could see the freshness of the salmon and the other raw foods.

All of us did enjoyed the dinner and we were stuffed with delectable & splendid Japanese meal. Thanks so much to Kin No Uma & Palace of the Golden Horses for the hospitality and it was a great tasting session!
