This gonna be a place for you if you wanna have a different CNY Lou Sang. The Tranquerah at Red Carpet Avenue which serving Malacca Nyonya Cuisine will definitely surprise you with their authentic nyonya foods and also lou sang in Nyonya style! Sounds interesting, isn't it?
Thanks for Alan Yun's invitation and we have the chance to sampling the CNY menu and also some signature Nyonya foods. p/s: This post should actually posted before CNY but I was too busy with the stuff and meetings at work. Hope it is still not late to share it now.
The interior and exterior design of The Tranquerah has given me a homely feeling as all the decorations and furniture were nicely choose and picked by them. I'm impress with the idea of hanging the wooden door and window on the ceiling. It also have the rustic feeling, the modern rustic one :) Since CNY is here, The Tranquerah has decorated every single corner with red colour deco. Let the pictures do the talking.
Wooden door, red lantern and red cloth is hanging at the entrance, and also few pots of plant. It looks like you are entering a house, isn't it. Ready to explore the interior of The Tranquerah? Let's GO!
The brown colour decoration on the wall is actually the batik stamp. If you realize, the batik stamp has formed a half LOVE shape on the wall. The other side of the LOVE is incomplete yet. Alan say, if you have the batik stamp, you are welcome to put it on their wall :) The design on the wall is really creative and I wish to have one in my future home (if I can afford), it's not cheap to get a batik stamp.
The Host - Alan Yun was introducing The Tranquerah and also the foods that we are going to sample. Besides, we also have a special guest in the house - Isaac Ong. We were glad that 2 celebrities dine with us together.
Baba Nyonya Yee Sang
HUAT ar!!! This is the special Baba Nyonya yee sang. They have squid, cucumber, sengkuang, vege, lime and others. First time having Nyonya style lou sang and this was really special and memorable moment with the blogger friends.
Pai Tee (Top Hats)
Let's kick start the CNY menu with some appetizer. The first one we have was Pai Tee or also name it TOP HATS. I was amazed with the crispiness of the skin of pai tee. The skin was thin and crispy. Add some sambal will definitely spice up the taste. *yummy*
Traditional appetizer we normally have for tea time.
Chicken meat ball soup
Simple yet tasty. I'm a meat ball lover, this is definitely my favourite!
Nyonya Curry Chicken
Seems like this dish was everyone's favourite coz it just finished in a mere moment. Couldn't deny the aromatic of the nyonya curry chicken was really good! All of us have it with the white rice, the softness of the potato was good too. I miss it so much now and craving for it!!
Sotong Masak Lemak Nenas
Compared to the curry chicken, the taste of this dish is more moderate and not really spicy but still taste good.
Chap Chye (Nyonya Mixed Stir-Fried Vegetables)
They have 4 kinds of dishes on this braised platter - braised eggs, tofu, chicken and duck meat. It doesn't taste spicy at all although sambal were added on top.
Ikan Goreng Chili (Talapia)
Another highlight that day, fish was properly fried and just nice.
Gerang Asam Stingray
My favourite! Despite the oiliness, the eggplant smell really good and taste yummy. I could finish all this by myself :)
After all the heavy meal, we end our scrumptious meal with delectable desserts.
