Roma Italia @ Tony Roma'sMonday, February 06, 2012
When we mention Tony Roma's, the delectable ribs is the one we will think of. Surprisingly, they are serving Italian foods this time, only for a limited time from 8th January - 26th February 2012. Let's taste the ingredients of tradition and flavour that's prepared with Italian inspiration, fresh from our American kitchen.
The art of Italian cooking is the heart of cucina Roma. Tony Roma's recipe for passion is now freshly prepared from the "cucina" of Italy. The word, to mean kitchen, is all about the ingredients of tradition and flavour in Italian cooking. It is with this same inspiration that they serve to us their all-new Roma Italia menu.
The tropical flavours of orang juice, banan and kiwi combine with ice-cream in this creamy citrus delight. Garnished with fresh fruit and whipped topping. It was a refreshing smoothie and I prefer this one than the next one.
A cool and refreshing combination of straberry, orange juice, kiwi, blended and shaken over ice and garnished with fresh fruit.
We kicked start with this appetizer which was grilled chopped chicken breast, Italian cheeses, tomato pesto salad, fresh sweet baasil and creamy caesar dressing tossed on a crisp flatbread crust and sprinkled with shaved Asiago cheese. The taste was truly yummy and I can't wait to have another piece.
Slow-roasted seadones sausage tossed with roasted tomato sauce, onion, pasta and Asiago cheese. Smothered with melted Italian cheese and garnished with fresh basil.
Grilled tenderloin, melted Cheddar cheese and caramelized onions, fresh tomato, luttuce and Dijon mustard sauce on Italian bread, grilled to perfection. The tenderloin was tender and taste was good!
Thinly sliced smoked turkey, Genoa salami, melted Havarti cheese, homemade Italian spiced pepperoncini and caper sauce piled on toasty Italian bread. I would highly recommended this as I really like the smoked turkey. The ingredients might looks too much in between the bread but actually it was a perfect dish! YUM!
Grilled chicken breasts smothered with fresh mozzarella and roasted tomato sauce, served atop a bed of linguine tomato tossed with roasted Roma tomatoes, onion and Asiago cheese. Chicken breast is my all time favourite, thus I can't wait to try this dish. The size of the linguine was different from the one we usually saw in the market or Italian restaurant. This was more wider and overall, it taste delicious.
Fresh Fruit & Mascarpone Cake - RM12.90
Sweet mascarpone cheese frosting nestled between two rounds of moist yellow cake, ladled with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Crowned with a dollop of whipped topping.
I can't forget the taste of this dessert. Soft and warm cake to end the meal. Served it together with the blueberries and strawberry was an good idea. *recommended*
Thanks for the scrumptious meal by Tony Roma's and since it was my birthday that day, they were so sweet to give me a surprise by singing a birthday song and presented a sweet and lovely dessert.
Overall, the foods were not bad. Tony Roma's is not only expert in ribs, the Italian foods were great too. Head off to the nearest branch to try out. Don't forget that the promotion will end on 26th February 2012.
