Krabi 5D4N: Island Hopping

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

A short getaway to Krabi last week and it was definitely a relaxing one without planned itinerary and tight schedule. I'm back and time to work harder after play harder!

The lucky one - which is me, managed to grab cheap flight ticket again! (Yes! Again! and my friends are always curious on how I always get cheap tix). It cost around RM115 per person for both way. One week before I depart to Krabi, I saw a great deal on group buying site where accommodation (free upgrade to poolside access room upon availability), dinner, wines, airport transfer, 4-island hopping + lunch provided are all included. The best part was, it cost only RM500 per person to enjoy this deal. Great isn't it.

On the second day in Krabi, we went for island hopping after our breakfast. There were 4 island - Tup island, Chicken Island, Poda Island and Phra Nang Island.

1# Tup Island
which is one of the most popular offshore islands around Krabi.

Tup Island has a beautiful beach and it is an excellent spot for snorkeling.

The weather was really good and sunny. I was reluctant to jump into the water because the weather was really hot and I afraid to get tan. Anyway, I feel that it is a waste if I don't fully enjoy it! Thus, I jumpped into the sea and surrounded by all the fishes without further hesitation. It was a waste that I didn't prepare a loaf of bread to feed the fish. Luckily, there was this kind lady who gave us few pieces of bread and I'm surrounded by these beautiful fishes. How beautiful!

Tup island has beautiful sands too.

2# Chicken Island
is also knows as Koh Kai.

The name of "Chicken Island" came from the rock that resembles the head and neck of a chicken. We enjoyed snorkeling here, around the clear turquoise & greenish clear water. As you can see from the picture above, is going to rain soon.

We headed to 3rd island - 3# Poda Island to have our lunch (packed food). We didn't get the chance to explore this island because it was raining and we "hide" under a restaurant. We left after an hour of lunch break.

4# Phra Nang Island
This was the last island which surrounded by stunning limestone cliff.

This was the island I love the most because no reason. I feel comfortable and relax when I surrounded by the nature. The sands, the clear water, the sounds of the wave, the people... it just perfect.

Back to Ao Nang after island hopping.

till then...
