Singapore + Johor 3D2N Road Trip

Friday, November 13, 2015

I always like to do such casual post where I can write casually, share pictures casually, post casually... whatever la.. *grin* and so... yay, I went to Singapore last weekend because le sista (the second one) is going to work in Singapore again. Me & boyfriend helped her to move all her stuff and drove her to Singapore. It is definitely a good excuse for me to enjoy a short road trip.

We lim kopi at one of the cafe after reached Singapore - Five & Dime which located at River Valley Road. They offer wide range of food, from starters, main to desserts. You can check out their latest menu on their website - http://fiveanddime.com.sg/

Truffs' Earl Grey Chocolate Tart - $9
Earl grey infused dark chocolate ganache tart with crumble topping and praline base.

Earl Grey that caught our attention and thus we decided to order this. The chocolate is moist is the sweetness is just nice but that's quite sinful and we couldn't finish it. I would prefer to share with 4 or 5 friends together.

Five & Dime provides lovely and cozy environment.

After satisfy our sweet tooth, we went to Chinatown for quick dinner and fetched my sister to her place at Jurong East, 20 - 30 mins drive from Singapore city center.

At night, we went to Bitters & Love which located at downtown of Singapore for a drinks. It is a cocktail bar that served awesome cocktails and some bar snacks as well. When we drove on the exact street where this bar located, we couldn't find it and most of the shops were actually closed, and the area is quite dark too. We thought it was close at first, but I done with my research, they should be open that day.

So we drove one more round and I found out that the door is close but they are open for business actually. When we opened the door, we were welcomed by the noisy and loud music. It was so happening inside and most of the tables were fully occupied. We managed to get seats at the bar station and it was cool, as I could see the preparation of cocktails.

The interior is really really really dark. But I enjoyed the environment, of cause together with my good companion.

We ordered 2 cocktails and 1 snacks.

Sailor Jerrys
This is my customized cocktail presented in a plastic bag. Cool right? It taste sweet and I loving it. It also comes with blue and red berry.

Smalls Gin
Another customized cocktail served with the Apollo Cocklat Waffle.

If you're not sure which cocktail to order, you may get the bar tender to prepare any cocktail for you and I believe, you will be happy with it and surprise with the presentation. I heard, they even have kaya toast cocktail. I wanna try it next round!

Mini burger with beef patty, yummy. *maybe I'm too hungry*

Next day, we went to Far East Plaza @ Orchard Road for breakfast and followed by shopping at Orchard. Christmas decorations were installed at the main street of Orchard and the mall started to have beautiful decorations too.

Spot the Braun Buffel ornaments.

Who's kikki.k lovers here? This brand is originally from Australia which owned by a Swedish lady. They have so many beautiful stationary, note paper, greeting cards, journal, diaries etc which inspired by Sweden design...

Few years back, I received my first kikki.k. diary as a gift from bff and on the 2nd year, she gave me a diary as well as my Christmas and birthday gift. Since after that, I really into kikki.k and wish they will have a store in Malaysia. Few days back (before I travel to Singapore), I Google about kikki.k and found out they actually have a store in ION Orchard. So happy! and I spent almost 30 - 40 mins strolling around the store @ Orchard outlet.

VIOLA!! Here it is!
So happy! The paper bag is Christmas too and is so beautiful.

Even the catalogue also nice.

There are so many things I wanna buy but I control and allow myself to buy one item only. That's the one, a note paper which I can use for writing letter. The trip before Singapore, I was looking for nice paper to write letter but failed, yet I found it in kikki.k. There are 20 designs, 120 sheets for this.

Shopping spree...

I bought this Cyber Colour eye make up remover from Selectiv' by Sasa, $10 for 2 bottles. Really cheap right? I used this before and the outcome is good. But my first favourite brand for eye make up remover is L'Oréal.

I'm curious about this heels mask thus give it a try. First pack at $7.8 and 50% for 2nd pack, each comes with 4 sheets. Yea, it is not cheap if you convert to RM.

I believe most of the ladies will have cracked heels and I'm one of them. Will see how's the outcome.

@ ION Orchard

Jalan-jalan at Orchard.

We off to Johor after Orchard. That's basically sum up our 2 days 1 night at Singapore.

I used to dine at Tang ShiFu with my ex-colleague when I'm working in Melaka. Tang ShiFu is originally from Johor and thus, I decided to bring my other half for lunch.

My favourite dessert at Tang ShiFu.

At night, we had dinner with our JB friends at Olive Kitchen + Bar, Puteri Harbour @ Nusajaya. I didn't know that Olive Kitchen is actually serving Indian cuisine. Since my friend recommend this restaurant, I believe the foods are delicious. We ordered beer & cocktails, pizza and mixed tandoori.

There were prawns, fish, chicken and Afghani Sheesh kebab in this mixed tandoori, and we ordered 4 pieces of garlic naan also. This is SUPERBLY B!!!!! Although it was quite expensive (RM75) but worth every penny.

End of my Singapore & Johor 3 days 2 nights road trip.
Time to back to the reality.

Before we back to work, it was actually Deepavali holiday on Tuesday (11th October) and YAY! We could rest for a day first before work.

Beautiful creature of God.
Just looks so unreal.

价格为RM9.90 (每份)。还不赖吧~

There's this cafe name "let it rain" at Cyberjaya and they are serving homecook food daily. The menu is different everyday and you will only know the dishes they are serving on the day before or on the actual day. It is a cosy and warm cafe with minimal & heavy decorations setup in the cafe. Pay them a visit when you're in Cyberjaya.

p/s: they are serving coffee and handmade desserts too.
