This dish was everyone's favourite and it just finished by all of us in a mere moment.

Another favourite dish of all the Chinese out there. Since Cheng Ho Court is a pork free restaurant, thus duck meat was used in this clay pot rice, the taste was good and flavourful.

Chinese New Year Deco @ Sunway Pyramid

*Gonna start the sentence with a very common & boring one*

Chinese New Year is around the corner and to be frank, it's left only 2 weeks before CNY. *Dear time, pls slow down...* We went to Sunway Pyramid this afternoon and realized that Sunway has nicely decorated the mall with CNY theme, everything is in blissful red. I feel the excitement!!!

I kinda like the decoration inside the shopping mall. They have the mini waterfall and garden pond as well, must be Sunway have invest a lot in this deco huh?

Hatyai & Krabi, Thailand

It was an unexpected year end trip to Hatyai and Krabi, Thailand on December 2011. A 5D4N trip with the Yong's family - my bf's family and relative. This is not a complete itinerary, thus I will only share some pictures with short description.

This is the Yong's family + girlfriends (example, ME :D) of the son or grandson.

Tour guide always like to bring the tourist to visit cave & temple @@

This supposedly a floating market, but now they move everything up to the land. No longer do their business on the boat. The traditions of floating market is slowly gone.

Visited another beautiful temple at night.

The temple was built by aluminium, kinda amazing.

120 bath for a dim sum buffet.

Malaysia one is much more better.

He is a cheerful baby and laugh all the time, that's why people loves to carry and hug him around.

This journey was quite adventures as we were going into a narrow cave where we need to lay down. It was one of the nicer activity in the trip.

We need to walk 800m to reach the emerald pool.

After emerald pool, we need to walk 300m to visit this BLUE POOL. The water is so beautiful and it's crystal blue colour.

Since Hatyai is very near to Malaysia, thus there are some shops/stalls are selling nasi lemak, teh tarik etc. The taste of the nasi lemak was good.

Market that selling all kinds of bags, shoes, kitchen equipments etc at a very low price. Girls will definitely love this place!

My purchased from Hatyai & Krabi. The flats cost only RM10 & RM20. Besides, I also get a great bargain for the 2 pairs of high heels - RM25 each.

Krabi - I will definitely visit here again! It was only a 2D1N trip in Krabi, that's not enough to explore the Krabi town and island.

This was my first CNY food review and I was impressed with the uniqueness & presentation of the foods that prepared by Chef Roy Wong. The creation of the foods were out of the box and creative.

The award winning Kim Ma Cantonese Fusion Restaurant, an exotic oriental restaurant in town serves contemporary Cantonese cuisine that will definitely tempt your taste buds. Kim Ma which is named after the noble character of Golden Horse has a subtle and relaxing dining ambience.

The interior of the restaurant is designed in typical orient ornate with minimal and tasteful trappings.

We're going to sample the Chinese New Year set menu 1 (祥龙报喜宴) at RM880.00++ per table of 8 to 10 people - 9 course meal.

Kim Ma’s Appetizer Combinations

We were so impressed with the creation of the appetizer that night. When the chef placed the appetizer on the table, all of us "WOW!" and can't take our eyes off from this colourful, unique and special dishes. One of the main attraction was the horses in different lighting. It has enhanced the beauty of the appetizer as well.

One the left, it was the Japanese octopus, vege & noodle (yee mee) stuffed inside the sweet tofu skin. The combination of Chinee & Japanese taste not bad overall, the taste blend well and it's just simply yummy & refreshing.

Double-Boiled Minced Chicken Broth with Fish Maw and Shark’s Fin

A flavourful soup that will always in your mind once you taste it. There's a soft layer at the bottom of the soup, and all of us thought it was a layer of tofu. It was actually minced chicken that taste like tofu because of its softness. This is another awesome creation of Chef Roy. Thumbs up!

Palace’s Special Roasted Chicken and Baked Chicken Chop with Black Sesame Sauce

If you didn't read the name of the dish, you will thought that it was fish meat. Baked chicken chop with black sesame sauce was kinda crunchy and the smell of the sesame did enhance the taste. For the roasted chicken, it just a simple one and taste good.

It looks like the "wat dan hor" - chinese noodle, coz of its thick & brownie gravy. The combination of the tiger prawns and fish was good as it taste balanced and most importantly, the meat was fresh!

Or known as "nian gao" (年糕) in mandarin. Nian Goa has always been my favourite, especially the deep fried glutinous cake with the yam or sweet potato. This is also one of the tradition, must have it during Chinese New Year.

United Buddy Bears @ Pavilion KL

This is the whole idea & motto of United Buddy Bears. The message that delivered by The Buddy Bears stand together “hand in hand”, symbolising the future vision of a peaceful world. Each bear stands for the people of the different countries and their culture, yet not for political systems.

As a bears lover like me, I was excited when I saw all these colourful designed bears on the street and also at the front of Pavilion main entrance. It was night time and I only have a Canon G9 with me, thus the outcome of the pictures were not really good. Here to share some nice pictures with you, especially those who are not staying in KL. Enjoy ya.

Formosa Taiwanese Food (台湾风味馆) @ Mines 2, Seri Kembangan

A quick and short update on second day of 2012. I was craving for braised pork rice for lunch just now. So I was looking on the internet if there is any restaurant nearby my house is serving this dish coz I don't wanna drive far.

So, YEAP! Here it is! Formosa (please don't read it as FARMOSA) at Mines 2 is serving the braised pork rice that I desperately craved. The environment is clean and simple.

They are serving value meal from 12pm - 3pm and 5pm - 8pm everyday. Priced at RM8.80 only. By adding another 10 cent, you will get a drink. Guess what, they have the bubble tea too. Ain't this value for money?

Homemade Taiwan Sausage Rice Set

The taste was average but still worth to try it if you staying nearby + you're craving for some Taiwanese foods. The sausage rice set comes with another plate of braised egg and yuba / fu zuk (腐竹). Braised egg was nice.

Braised Pork (Lo Bak) Rice Set

They are not serving the minced braised pork that I tried previously in other Taiwanese Restaurant. Anyway, the taste was good and I'm satisfied.

10cent for a cup of drink, what can you ask for more? Bubble tea was good and ice lemon tea was refreshing.

The price was reasonable and they don't have additional governments & service tax.

I wanna share the things I did today but when I copy some photos from my hp, I found out there are also some nice photos I took on Dec 2011. So, why not share it out together.

The cousin sis of my bf was coming from the State. We went for hair cut and hair do together. It has been ngam ngam (exactly) a year that I didn't go for salon. I always went to A Salon at Sunway Pyramid, unfortunately, my favourite hair stylist is no longer working at there. Anyway, this hairstylist name Lester has a good and nice skill too. My hair was looking great ~~after blow~~.

It was an unexpected trip to Hatyai and Krabi. Beaches at Krabi was so beautiful, I will go back again one day coz we only spent 2D1N at Krabi. That's NOT ENOUGH!

Me and bf really like the design of the watch and it is an automatic watch which means, no battery is needed. Bought it from a shop in Krabi. I don't really like the brand "LV" stated on the watch coz it is not an ori one but the design is really COOL and nice. So, who cares? :)

Guess what, I asked bf to download all the Sherlock Holmes e-book for me after that. It's really a nice story and I like to read investigate novel.

United Buddy Bears at Pavilion. There were more than 100 bears along the street and at the entrance of Pavilion KL. The purpose of these united buddy bears are to create an awareness of living peacefully and harmony. Each bear & the designs on their body is represent a country and Malaysia was included too.

Yesterday was New Year eve & also last day of year 2011. We didn't have any fancy celebration or party with friends. It was just a simple dinner at the mall and then went to Jaya One to have some drinks at Brussel Cafe.

Every guests were given a pack of party pack. We went back zzz right after the countdown. Too tired.....

Meet up with my uni friend - Stephanie this afternoon. She's getting married soon and I thought I was one of the ji mui, but she said nope. I gonna be her maid of honor. That's really sweet, and I gonna start on a serious diet now!

The guy is my uni friend too. Thanks him for the belated Christmas gift :)

Received some nice gift and souvenir from Steph. Love the shells bracelet.

Finally, I managed to get myself a gift that I wanted so long. It's a "little" birthday gift from me to me :) *hint: my birthday is on 17th Jan. Get me a gift please. hehe..*

♥ Last Chapter - London Eye + China Town + Tower Bridge ♥

~~I think~~ this will be the last post in year 2011. Well, here's a little update on my current life. I'm currently enjoying and busying with my new job, it has been 4 months and everything going well and I can mix really well with my colleagues. All of them are so sweet, nice, playful and willing to help me when I need them. I'm blessed to know them and have them in my life.

For the unhappy things, I don't wanna talk bout it as it is not worth to think and mention again!

For the happy one, there was one final trip I joined before end of 2011. That's the trip to Hatyai and Krabi for 5D4N, I will update once I have complete all the pending travelogue. hehe~

Grange City Hotel

There's a story behind this. We have actually stayed at this hotel on our second day at London. Since the room and everything was good, clean, nice breakfast and they have really good coffee! So, we decided to stay at this hotel again on our last 2 days at London. Guess what, they gave us a bigger room!!

The room was so BIG and you can even roll left and right on the floor. We really thanks for their compliments without charging additional charges.

We were here to wait the arrival of the bf. Cos he went to his friend's house in Newcastle to pick up our luggage after back from Rome.

This the moment that I have been awaiting for so long - London Eye. Bf bought a great and reasonable package that include London Eye & Madam Tussauds.

Frankly, I was really excited when I walked one more step forward to the London Eye. It was like a dream comes true cos I never expect that I have the chance to take a ride on London Eye. That's the surprise given by bf when I arrived in London.

After the ride, we walked around the area and saw this BIG post card. A random guy ran into me and stand beside to take picture with me when I was standing here. @@

We went to China Town after London Eye.

There were so many Chinese Restaurant and finally, we went for this China Buffet at 8.90 pounds.

I don't know why we were so "semangat" and speak malay while we were having our meal. We said the dishes were not bad etc.. When we pay the bill, this Chinese guy asked:"Are you guys from Malaysia?" I'm stunned for a moment and he continue:"I'm from Ipoh, you?" I feel so embarrassed, for no reason!! If we didn't speak malay, he wouldn't know we are from M'sia.

Four Season Chinese Restaurant is quite famous but we didn't give it a try cos the foods were quite pricey.

I would suggest, never ever dine in a Malaysia Restaurant cos you will be very disappointed.

Our hotel was just right beside the Tower Bridge. Although the weather at night was really windy and cold, I still insist to go out to take some night shots. Besides, we act silly and do silly stuff together. Cos there were only 2 of us on the street.

Day 15 - 26.07.09 (Saturday)

Here's the end of my 2 weeks UK and Italy trip. It was truly a memorable and awesome Europe trip.

This was my first trip to Europe and I told myself that I will go back again in near future. My dream is coming true soon!!

I kicked start the dinner with my favourite pumpkin soup which is the soup for all the festival like Halloween and Christmas.

Personally, I like the marinated mushroom. It was a simple dish starter yet it still rich in flavour, chewy and yummy. This is a good choice to kick start the dinner.

Fresh herb and goat cheese tart

These are the so-called main course in fusion style. All the dishes were rich in colour and looks delicious. Rice pilaf with herbs, fried tofu in homemade ginger sauce, buttered vegetables with hollandaise sauce, fusili pasta with tuna romatoes basil sauce, butter prawns with nestum, brussel sprout with cashew nuts & beef bacon, and massamam lamb chops.

Rice pilaf with herbs and massamam lamb chops was my favourite from this range of foods. Both were smell aromatic and also a good combination to serve it together.

How could we forget the turkey for this festive season.

Honestly, it wasn't look good from the outside. BUT we were wrong! The meat was good and flavourful. Served the turkey with the sauces will create another essence.

Indulge in yuletide sweet endings with the famed Christmas Yule Log, Mini Minced Pies, Christmas Tiramisu and Fruit Cakes! Dinner comes with a glass of wine or sparkling juice, party packs and Santa will also make an appearance to spread the Christmas joy and presents!

This is actually a fruit cake with a super thick icing sugar at the outer and the cake taste real good. Remove the icing sugar if you don't want it.

Traditional English Afternoon Tea for Two @ Ben's, Pavilion KL

I have heard a lot of good reviews about Ben's and decided to give it a try when I looking for a restaurant at Pavilion on one random Sunday. Ben's is another bright idea by BIG.

The drinks MENU.

I have actually "scan through" the menu displayed at the entrance and decided to have my breakfast + lunch + dinner there.

Ben's have a cosy and comfortable environment which gives me a homely feel. Every decoration and furniture has been nicely chosen and have its own personality. The colours are warm, cheerful and mainly white.

Walked all the way into the Ben's and you will found this little piece of heaven. It is an open air dining area with no air-conditioner is provided, only fans. It's supposedly a smoking zone. However....

We picked our seat at this area because from here, you can actually enjoy the KL city view. It's evening already, so it was quite chilling to sit at here.

A3 double-sided menu with the handwriting font. Everything is so freely here.

Spaghetti Carbonara - RM21.90

Cooked with beef bacon, mushrooms & cream. Taste was good and delight but I would prefer creamier carbonara.

Traditional English Afternoon Tea for Two - RM49.90

I wanted to order ala-carte earlier, but we saw some tables were enjoying the afternoon tea and, since it was 4pm already, so we decided to try out.

As usual, it is a 3-tier afternoon tea set and it can be shared with 2 or 3.

They have assortment of finger sandwiches - Salmon and tuna egg mayo. The tuna egg mayo was my favourite and it taste good! Nothing special about this but if you like egg mayo sandwich or tuna, you will surely like this. For the salmon, it was a generous slice one. The salmon was thick but it wasn't my favourite as I don't really eat raw foods. You might like it.

For the 2nd tier, buttery scones with preserves & clotted cream,homemade cookies, baby quiche or tartlet of the day. Blueberry tart was the tartlet of the day. Basically, everything was good.

For the top tier - passionfruit marshmallows, chocolate truffles and choice of any one cake on display.

I choose mango tart cake. Unfortunately, it wasn't taste good and suite my taste :( Maybe I should choose tiramisu instead.

Cappuccino - No sugar was added in my cup of coffee, yet it still taste a little bit sweet.

Latte

Both of the drink was included in the afternoon tea set.

Christmas is around the corner and Pavilion has been decorated with lovely Christmas decoration starting from November. Pavilion has never fails to surprise me but I still prefer Christmas deco last year. I shall post the shopping mall Christmas decoration in another post.

Walked into Forever 21 and looking for boots so that I can get some nice boots for my upcoming trip in spring. Trying out this boots and it's looking good on me. I posted this photo on facebook and get many comments, some say GET IT, some say NOPE. So, I decided not to get it cos it is not practical to wear at here and for travel, you might need some flat shoes. But not this type, so... BYE BYE heels!

In the spirit of goodwill, ParkRoyal KL is urging well-wishers to take a little step towards making the Christmas wishes of the children of Stepping Stones Living Centre come true!

Stepping Stones was started in November 1998 by Pastor Johnson to take care of children from needy and broken homes. A deserted house was cleaned and repaired in Taman Seputeh which presently houses the home. Children and single mothers are taken into the Home regardless of background or belief. It totally depends on contributions from well-wishes and friends.

As the upcoming year is just round the corner, the children are in need of school bags, shoes, clothes and other essentials. To ease their plight, just purchase an envelope with a "Wish" from our Christmas tree, and your contribution will go towards fulfilling a child's Christmas wish. This initiative is part of ParkRoyal KL's way of giving back to the community.

As for Songket Restaurant which located at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng is a fine-dining Malay restaurant with a modern twist. There focus on outstanding Malay food with the fresh ingredients in an elegant restaurant with a sophisticated ambience.

At Songket, they delight the guests with a menu inspired from traditional Malay specialties, live traditional Malay entertainment, and luxurious songket from some of Malaysia's most notable states.

Songket have a spacious dining room and each part of the dining area have its own characteristic.

Dry organic chicken curry cooked in an aromatic in fusion of spices over a slow fire. The taste of the rendang is slightly different from the red colour rendang ayam that we usually taste. This chicken is not really spicy and the taste is mild. Those who doesn't eat spicy food, yet wanna try out the yummylicious Rendang Ayam, this will be the good choice.

Sambal Goreng Minang - Rm35
Fried beef strip and lung cooked creamy chilli paste. The lung might taste a bit tough but overall, it still taste not bad.

Kerabu Perut - RM18
Chewy beef strip mix with light spicy salad tossed in homemade dressing.

These are the 5 dishes of South Region foods. Every dishes look spicy, it's actually nope! For Malaysian like us, it doesn't taste spicy at all. They have reduce the spiciness so that all the tourist from other countries can also try our authentic Malay foods. This will give a clear image of Malay foods and a good experience to them.

Besides, we have also try out some other dishes and desserts provided by Songket.

Pucuk Paku Goreng - RM15

Wild fern shoots stir fried with chilli, shallot and garlic.

This vegetables remind me of my Sarawak trip because it's a famous dish there and everyone will order it when dine in the restaurant. So, now I can get it at Songket!

Pandan Pudding - RM10

Cream pudding infused with fragrant pandan leaves and palm sugar syrup.

The dessert that recommended by Jen. She kept telling me that this is really niceeeee.. Luckily, it didn't disappointed me.

Mango Cheese Cake - RM15

A rich cheesecake of mascarpone, creame cheese and generous portions of sweet mango.

Durian Tiramisu - RM15

Traditional tiramisu flavoured with creamy durian.

Weird? Durian Tiramisu??

Surprisingly, the durian is going perfect with in the tiramisu. Yummy.!

Porto Romano is a wonderful place to enjoy a blend of Albanian, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. They have a wide range of menus that you can choose from appetizers, soup, pizza, pasta, rice, desserts, coffee and wine.

It is a decent place with all the beautiful painting on the wall. The interior and furnitures are stylish and attractive which creates a cosy and comfortable place to enjoy your meal.

Really likey the painting.

They have 3 outlets - Mont Kiara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and The Intermark which I visited today.

There are many types of wine provided by them and we get the chance to try few bottles.

I was attracted by the oil painting. It is seriously an awesome piece.

Santorini - ain't this is a dream place to everyone?

2 different menu for foods and wine.

Let's begin the feast.

The first time I tried Kilkenny beer was at Kuching. Sadly, I can't continue to drink this beer because both of my hands will start to feel itchy after a few minutes. So far, this is the only beer will causing an immediate itchiness after a few sips of Kilkenny Irish beer.

Since I don't have any "fate" with Kilkenny Irish beer, how about wine? Although I don't have any knowledge about wine, but I still love to have it cos the taste is good and smooth.

This was the only white wine I tried that night. It taste good and wasn't too dry.

The owner was so friendly and nice. He introduced few bottles of wine to

us with some details information.

*RECOMMENDED* Grilled Vagetables - RM28

It was a plate of colourful combination of grilled capsicums, aubergines, and zucchini, topped with balsamic vinegar and extra olive oil. It might look a bit oily but it actually taste really good. This is Porto Romano's specialty and not to forget to order it. Definitely a good choice of appetizer to kick start the meal.

Porto Romano Salad - RM24

Another original creation of appetizer by Porto Romano. It is a seafood mix of squids, clams, mussels and prawns marinated in herbs, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. It was presented in a beautiful shell.

Try out the Porto Romano's Chilli sauce if you would like to add some stronger taste of the seafood salad. It was a creation exclusively for Porto Romano Restaurant. You couldn't find any sauce in supermarket or store and it is only available at their restaurant. The taste of the chilli sauce was super awesome. Wickedly spicy and tangy.

Ox-Tail Soup - RM29

A thick soup that is hearty and rustic. It is also a Porto Romano specialty.

Prawn Bisque - RM16

Bisque is a luxurious, velvety soup which can be made with any crustaceans.

Served the fluffy and warm bread either with the soup above or with some vinegar & olive oil.

Porto Romano Seafood Soup - RM24

Original creation of Porto Romano by using only fresh seafood. May be served spicy upon request. Another hearty soup.

Squid Ink Pasta - RM35

Porto Romano Specialty. Freshly made fettucine flavoured with squid ink and cooked with calamari rings. There are more and more restaurant is serving squid ink pasta, if you love it, try this here.

Spaghetti alla Puttanesca - RM27

Spaghetti alla Puttanesca literally "whore's style spaghetti" in Italian. This savoury mix of Mediterranean anchovy fillets, capers, olives and aubergine originated in the Naples area. It taste like the bolognese spaghetti we usually have cos of the tomato and its paste. I like the idea of eggplant adding to the spaghetti, maybe that's my favourite vegetable.

Pizza al Toro - RM35

Porto Romano original creation. A crisp crust topped with beef pepperoni, beef bacon and beef pastrami. The beef was thick and the cheesy smell good. Good try!

Pizza Pesto & Chicken - RM45

Original creations by them as well. Tomato sauce makes way for pesto sauce in this to-die-for pizza. 2 types pizza was served that night, both pizza have a crisp crust which I like it so much.

There are total 13 types of pizza offered by Porto Romano. Here are few of them, Mediterranean pizza, Neapolitan pizza, pizza with smoked salmon and egg, devil's pizza, Magherita pizza and many more.

Char-boiled chicken leg-Spanish style - RM32

I was really full didn't try much on this dish. It was a well-balanced lemon-based sauce tops the char-boiled boneless leg.

*RECOMMENDED* Moussaka - RM38

It was the Greek classic lasagna made from layers of grilled aubergine and minced lamb. Taste good and we finished it in a mere moments although all of us were stuffed.

*RECOMMENDED* Seafood Risotto - RM32

Finally! I found the best risotto at KL so far. It is an Italian arborio rice, assorted seafood and white wine are cooked over a slow fire. 20 minutes were needed to cook this dish. I gonna go back again for this!! The rice was bigger, solid and taste real good. Without the mussels, the risotto still taste niceeeeee.. *yummy*

Braised Lamb Shank - RM38

Lamb shank was braised in oven fire for hours till they are tender. It served with their own gravy with side salad or spaghetti. Signature dish of Porto Romano.

Torta di Mele - Apple Pie - RM12

The presentation was appealing. The apple pie was wrapped with a thin crust, comes with custard sauce and vanilla ice cream. The filling of apple pie was warm and tasty, it also taste a bit sour. It was a heavenly dessert.

Tiramisu - RM15

Porto Romano version of tiramisu using the best coffee and almond liqueur. It is their signature dessert. Unfortunately, there is no alcohol in this tiramisu.

After the hearty meal, we enjoyed a cup of coffee to end our scrumptious meal.

Affogato - RM19

A scoop of vanilla ice cream with a shot of kahlua and an espresso over it.

Caffe Latte - RM8

Coffee - RM6.50

It was a freshly brewed caffe vergnano. Smell aroma and taste good.

Espresso - RM5.90 (single), RM7.50 (double)

It was also using vergnano brand coffee.

This is the Cafe Vergnano 1882 to brew the aromatic coffee.

It was definitely a pleasant night with the owner and thanks for serving us the scrumptious foods. Thanks again for the invitation. Guess what? We were also invited to attend their Albania International Day at Mont Kiara outlet last week. Will blog about it soon.

I have been wearing spectacles since 13 but I didn't try contact lens before. To be honest, I never think of trying to wear contact lens cos the power of my eyes is not too high, so I will only wear spec at night or during raining day.

Knowing Sid for more than a year and cos of him, I got the chance to meet more bloggers and now, we (bloggers) are so close to each other. We will hug each other when we meet especially when we didn't meet for 1 or 2 weeks. Yeap! That's how close within us.

Back to last Friday - 25.11.11, it was Sid's birthday and there was a little birthday celebration for him at SOULed OUT, Ampang. At the same time, we were invited to enjoy the Tiger Crystal Exclusive Food Pairing Session as well.

This time around, Tiger Crystal collaborates with SOULed OUT, Ampang to demonstrate eclectic western and Northern Indian food paired with the refreshingly crisp, easy drinking lager.

It was my first time here and I truly like the cosy and comfortable environment which I will prefer this outlet compared to the one at Sri Hartamas.

Guess what? They have already set up the Christmas decoration and I was thrilled to be there where I start to feel the joyful of this festive season.

Drinks menu and also the menu for the night written on the write paper. We gonna have 4 types of starters, 4 main course and one ~~sinful~~ dessert.

While waiting for others, we ordered fruit juice and cocktail to kick start the night.

It was a signature drink and definitely, we will give it a try. It was a mixed of red dragon fruit, watermelon, strawberry puree, and fresh lemon juice. A holistic secret recipe to give your body a much needed oooomph! and also..... for detox purpose!

A mixed of orange, ginger, cucumber and lemon juice. It was an extraordinary orange juice.

There are more selections of juices at your own choice.

Lychee Mojito
A refreshing taste with the mix of lime, mint and also topped with lychee.

It was Friday night and many people were here to enjoy Happy Hour! Besides, they were few tables of guests were celebrating birthday too. What a coincidence!

Cheese Nachos - RM20
Topped with generous cheese and it was nicely gooey with the nachos. It was a good light bites to kick start the dinner.

Deep fried chicken wings - RM18
It just simply taste good!

Friend Calamari - RM18

Chewy calamari and crispy at the outer. Best to go with the sauce provided and it takes a mere moments to finish it. Everyone love it.

Tofu puffs - RM13
The sauce provided was the same one with the fried calamari. This wasn't a simple rounded tofu puffs. There were some awesome "treasures" inside.

Besides tofu, there were carrots, prawns, mushrooms and vegetables. The adequate ingredients create an awesome and tasty light bites.

Beef Espetada - RM85

Here come our first main course. This was one of the best dish that night. It took some times for us to wait the dish to be served. Great foods are worth to wait, isn't it?

It was a 400g charbroiled ribeye meat skewers marinated with garlic, laurel leaves and rock salt.

It also served with roast vegetables and baked potato.

Salad and 2 sauces - black pepper and mushroom sauce was given.

She was the friendly and sweet waitress who served us that night. Beef was sliced into small pieces and we can share with everyone.

It wasn't a well-done one but it taste good with this condition. Meat was reddish and tender. I tried it with the 2 sauces given, I will suggest to go with the mushroom sauce because the taste of the beef was rich and it goes well with a mild sauce. I did tried it with the black pepper sauce but it doesn't taste as good as the previous one. This is because both beef and black pepper taste strong and rich.

Miso Grouper - RM28

Grouper fillet and scallop marinated in miso and grilled to perfection. Shallot rice and vegetable ribbons were served together. Rice smell aromatic and taste good.

Masala Chicken Chop - RM25

Chicken marinated in buttermilk and masala grilled and served with roasted vegetable and wedges.

Sizzling Lamb Cutlet - RM30

Lamb cutlet marinated in special Indian herbs, served on sizzling plate and served with naan. Recommend this dish to all the spice lovers, the lamb cutlet was spicy and flavourful.

Warm and fluffy naan to goes with the lamb cutlet.

Seafood spaghetti

I usually don't go for "dry" spaghetti cos it doesn't taste as good as carbonara or bolognese spaghetti. I came with surprise when I first taste the seafood spaghetti above. It was flavourful and doesn't taste plain & dry.

Bananarama - RM23

Awesome and sinful dessert of the night!

It was a grilled bananas wrapped in vanilla crepes with 3 scoops of ice cream, topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and also the crispy corn-flakes.

there is another dessert that night.!

"Berries" birthday cake with all the strawberries, bluberries, redberries on the top of the cake.

Taiwanese Food Promotion @ Tai Zi Heen, Prince Hotel & Residence KL

Although I don't have chance to travel to Taiwan yet, still I have the chance to try Taiwanese food at Tai Zi Heen, Prince Hotel KL. They has launched the Taiwanese food promotion at its fine dining Chinese Restaurant.

Tai Zi Heen has a special guest from Taipei Garden Hotel; Executive Chef Wang to amaze patrons with his delectable dishes of contemporary Taiwanese delicacies. He is known for his expertise in creating dishes that preserves the original essence of Taiwanese traditions.

Waitress is the traditional costume to welcome us.

Tea leaf and tea set to prepare a cup of nice Chinese tea.

Pan-fried egg omelet

Simple omelet but it was one of my favourite that night. The thickness of the golden omelet does give me a satisfaction taste.

Stir-fried shark's fin with eggs

My TOP favourite dish that night. The aromatic of the eggs with the shark's fin was truly delicious.

Traditional three-cup chicken

The taste of three-cup chicken is slightly different with the one we usually taste at Malaysia here. The taste is mild but still good. Chef have told us that the 3 important ingredients to cook three-cup chicken is rice wine, black sesame and soya sauce.

Thick Vegetable and Seafood Soup
A big bowl of soup with contented ingredients has enhance the taste of the soup.

Steamed glutinous rice topped with crab meat

The big crab has grabbed my attention. The taste of the glutinous rice taste plain and normal but the freshness of the crab meat has added another essence to the plain glutinous rice.

Its name to beef tongue cake because the shape of this pastry look like a tongue.

The rounded pastry name Sun Cake. Everyone loves this, including me. The sweetness of the feelings was moderate and just niceeeee.

Baked with sweet pastry filled with pineapples and malt sugar.

Guess what? We got the opportunity to see the making of pineapple cake by Chef Wang. Here are the pineapple fillings and the skin.

Flour, eggs, sugar, butter etc... These are the ingredients to make pineapple cake.

Chef Wang in action. He explained all the details and process to us. It was a great short session to know and see the making of pineapple cake.

Pineapple cake taste super best especially when it served warm.

Samsung Galaxy Note!

I am a ~~big~~ fan Samsung Galaxy series and always keep an eyes on their latest update. It all started from the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone that I owning now. It was a present from my bf and it's also my first smartphone. I love it so much and it become my daily accompanied now because it has everything inside. Games, camera, daily schedule, email and many more.

Whilst my bf using Samsung Galaxy S2. Both of us think that Samsung have done a great job by offering a great smartphone with all the useful apps. Anyway, I can't wait for another great transform from Samsung for Galaxy series.

Galaxy Note will be another hot topic in town! This is truly another SMART gadget that really smart enough. It comes with a pen for Galaxy Note and this will make things done in more easier way and even faster. By using the pen, you can draw, write, crop a picture at any time. This will save a lot of time.

One of the feature on Galaxy Note is the large screen which is 5.3". The size might be a little big for ladies but the whole body still remaining light and thin, just like the Galaxy S and S2 smartphone. Not to forget one of the selling point is Super HD Amoled display. The colours are more vibrant, clear and beautiful.

Cos I always schedule my things/appointment/reviews/dates with friends on the apps that I downloaded from market. With this smart planner, I believe I can manage my schedule easily.

It seems like the S PEN play an important role in Galaxy Note. Like what I said early on, you can draw and write anything on the screen.

Galaxy Note will be a favourite gadget for the artist or business planner too. When there is a new idea appear in your mind, don't afraid that you don't have any pen or papers in your bag. Galaxy note have this COOL apps name S Memo. Sketch and write all ideas you have. Besides, by using the S PEN, pictures can be easily crop out and paste in S Memo. COOL isn't it? I am so excited now and can't wait to touch and feel the real one.

8mp camera which is the same feature in Galaxy S2. Beside, Samsung have improve the battery life too.

These are only part of the features in Galaxy Note which I really like it and wanna to share with all of you. Hmmm... I'm wondering when will Galaxy Note deliver to Malaysia? I wanna own it!!!! :D

Anyway, is Galaxy Note a PHONE or TABLET??!? and I wonder, how much will it cost? hmmm...

These are the steps to apply blush subtil rose.

Let's begin.

Applying the first colour on the center of the cheeks and follow by the second and third colour. For the forth colour, it wasn't apply to the cheek! It is apply on the external corner of the brow bone to open the eyes.

A sweet entry. It was a high-tea date with my girls at Delicious Cafe at The Marc Residence. When 4 ~~girls~~ ladies hang out together, the only thing we will do is gossip non-stop!! We shared almost everything!! Blog, bloggers, friends, foods, life, work, beauty,travel and many more.

We were having Traditional English Afternoon Tea and each set priced at RM59.90. Fortunately, I bought the coupon from a discount website and each comes at RM34.70 and with a choice of 2 cups of tea, or coffee from Illy Coffee.

It was a three tier high tea set which included finger sandwiches, scones, duck confit, strawberries and dip, chocolate truffles, cookies, and our choice of 1 slice of cake from the display counter. So we choose Banana Chocolate cake and Marmalade bread & butter pudding with custard sauce.

Nothing much to impress about the high tea set but most importantly, we have a quality time together. That's the most precious one.

Sweet Shan Shan - finally we meet! and this was actually our first meet up. We didn't feel strange at all when we first meet cos we have already know each other through blog and facebook. Online media R.O.C.K.S!

Another lovely one is Zi Hang. I just realized that I didn't take a single picture with ZH. *so sad :(* Zi Hang is a friend's of YT and this was my second time meet her. She changed a lot from our first meet up at Levain, she looks more fashionable day by day.

Hunan Cuisine @ Restoran Yue Yang Lou (岳阳楼湘菜馆), Sunway Mentari

Restoran Yue Yang Lou is a restaurant that serves Hunan Cuisine (湖南菜) which also knows as Xiang Cuisine (湘菜). Honestly, I never think to try Hunan Cuisine before although I love to eat spicy foods so much. Anyway, this tasting sessions has given me a chance to taste Hunan Cuisine and do you know that, they have few selections of dessert as well?

This was part of the Hunan dishes we had that night. Every dishes you saw is SPICY. This is because Hunan Cuisine is well known for its spicy flavour. Some people might misunderstood that Hunan Cuisine is SiChuan Cuisine (四川菜). No, it is different. *Google for more info :)*

Don't worry if you can't eat spicy foods, you can request the level of the spiciness for each dishes. For all the dishes we try, the spiciness is at the original level.

Yue Yang (岳阳) is a place in China thus the name of this restaurant. Simple and direct!

Our dinner kick start with 4 types of appetizer.

Pickled spicy cucumber

Spicy seaweed salad and pickled spicy cucumber is my favourite because it taste refreshing and most importantly - spicy! Both appetizers are crunchy too, and also the spicy bean curd sheets.

Steamed rice, I heard that chef steam the rice bowl by bowl. Unlike we cook our rice at home which is using the rice cooker. It create another type of aromatic for the rice.

Simple yet delicious.

Stir Fried Salted Cabbage with Green Bean Potato Starch Sheet

Hunan Local Style Sizzling Skewered Ostrich Meat

Ostrich meat was presented like the satay we had - "stick by stick".

I would highly recommended this! Tender ostrich meat and with lots of onions, chillies, garlic, shallots on top. The taste of the ostrich meat was good and I personally think that the ostrich meat is not spicy at all :)

Uncle Mao’s Special Braised Pork

Woot!! Look at the thickness of the pork. It looks juicy, INDEED!

Deep Fried Spicy Chicken Soft Knee Bone

Dry chillies was used to prepare this dish, thus it doesn't taste too spicy after all.

Claypot Supreme ‘Water Fish’ Soup with Chinese Herbs

It is a healthy soup with all kinds of ingredients in cooking this Chinese herbs soup.

Hot Spicy Fresh Frog in Stone Sizzling Hunan Style

Hot Spicy Steamed Fish Head in Hunan Specialty

Another highlight that night and highly recommended. Son of this shop owner told us that his father would just come to the shop and order this fish ONLY with a bowl of steamed rice. So, imagine the deliciousness of this dish.

A bowl of noodle was given and pour into the soup.

That's another way to enjoy this dish. Thumb up to the chef.

Steamed Fresh Concubine Fish

Steamed fish with lotsa scallion. The level of the spiciness will be lower if you have the fish together with the scallion. Nice dish!

Our dinner wasn't end by tasting all the above spicy dishes only. Do you know that there are also so-called desserts to end our scrumptious meal? We have the opportunity to try 3 types of desserts.

Golden Bun or knows as Man Tou (馒头)

The outer was crunchy and warm & fluffy inside. Try it with the sweet sauce given.

Deep Fried Bee Hive with Corn

I found out this dessert is quite interesting. It looks like a bee hive from near.

Corns were hiding beneath. It was a crunchy and sweet dessert with the sweet sauce given.

Homemade Potato Pancake

nooomm nooomm.. do I need to explain more? It just simply taste delicious!

Thanks to Adrian to host us that night. It was truly a Hunan dinner we had and the experience were pretty good! Try out especially to those who love to eat spicy foods! It will never fails you.

I guess many girls out there will like this post. This is all about a newly open boutique in town - Belle's Classic Fashion at Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor. We were happy to received an invitation to attend the launching of this boutique back in September 2011.

Nowadays, there are so many boutiques out there and every boutique is nicely decorated which comes with a theme. White and pastel colour was applied on Belle's Classic boutique where you will feel comfortable when you stepped into this cosy boutique after take off your shoes.

Lovely photos on the cashier counter. Chloe is the owner of this boutique who wearing a flora jumpsuits and nice curly hair. She's a young and fashionable lady.

Mouth watering cupcakes, macaroons, strawberry tarts, cream puff and other desserts were prepared by Sunny. The strawberry tarts and cupcakes taste really great!

Belle's Classic offer latest and fashionable fashion outfits including dress, pouch, high heels, belts and also super cute accessories.

This is definitely a girl's heaven. I can't stop starring at those earrings.

I'm sure Bak Kut Teh (BKT) is every Chinese's favourite. Nowadays, there are so many BKT restaurant and we don't need to drive all the way to Klang. My foodies gang was so excited when we were invited for BKT food tasting session.

Restaurant Wing Hiong Bak Kut Teh (永香肉骨茶馆)

Save your petrol to drive all the way to Klang. This BKT restaurant is located at Equine Park, Seri Kembangan and they serve quite good BKT.

We were there early and not many tables were occupied. You will see the crowds later at night.

Not to forget the Chinese tea when you're having BKT. That's the tradition.

This is my favourite!! I like to put these "you-zha-gui" 油炸鬼 into the soup.
I think most of the people love it.

Thestory revolves around a conventional Chinese family with a paralysed mother whocan only communicate through her eyes; The father who had faithfully remainedat the side of his wife; The eldest son who owns a café at the age of 24; Aconservative and bashful elder daughter who writes for a living; And theyoungest daughter who is abrasive and unafraid to challenge the authority.

Despitethe differences in characters, the parents and siblings have been living inharmony and every members of the family understands and respect the rule ofcoming home for dinner together regardless of work or social activities.

Unknowingto them, a dark secret is lurking amongst the family, as it was perfectlydisguised and as cold-blooded as a lizard. Disorder will soon hit the family,while the secret will be unravelled by a surprise visit of the aunt who hadstayed overseas for the last 20 years.

EHouse, the team behind the production of “Lizard” is the same folks who broughtus “Casa”, their first production which had won three awards during the ADADrama Award 2010, namely Best Supporting Actor, Best Stage Design and BestGraphic Design. E House producer and founder, Emiko Ten founded the team at theyoung age of 24 in 2010, and had since made her name as one of the youngest andmost successful stage producer.

Milo Low, the director of “Lizard” and playing the role of the father was the winner of ADA Drama Award Best Supporting Actor for 2010 and 2011. On top of that, he is also a theatre educator with 12 years of experience, and is a trained performer in body rhythm, directing, acting, and script-writing.

Art direction is by Suzuki Cheng, who is a Macanese and formally joined E House as a partner after her first collaboration with the team in “Casa”.

The next stop - Vatican City! I heard a lot of story about Vatican City, some says it is the smallest country in the world. But, from my research in wiki, Vatican City is world's smallest state. Anyway, let's forget about the geography and move on. There are more photos to share..

If you have read my previous Rome's post, I have mentioned the weather at Rome was really killing. Moreover, we need to walk quite a distance to Vatican City. Anyway, we slow down our foot steps and enjoy the beauty of Rome.

We were here, finally.

You shouldn't and wouldn't miss out this when you visit Vatican City - St. Peter's Square. The building is huge and this is the first building you will see when you step into Vatican.

We wanted to visit St. Peter's Basilica. Unfortunately, it was closed. So, we just hang around and took some photos.

After that, we back to the city centre of Rome and heading back to B&B.

HUGE watermelon!!

It was the second and also last night at Rome, we craving for pizza and spaghetti again!!!! We randomly choose a restaurant and have our dinner. This is the restaurant we picked - Ristorante il Rifugio del Buttero.

The foods were delicious and I don't need to describe more.

Day 15 - 24.07.09 (Friday)

It was an early flight back to London. We woke up at 3am/4am and headed to the airport. The airport was still closing and all the guests have to wait and sit outside. I barely remember that I was so exhausted and can't sleep at all. They don't even have a chair outside the airport :(

It was a 3 hours journey back to London from Rome.

BACK IN LONDON!

The weather in Rome and London was totally different! I still able to walk with a piece of dress with scarf on. But, after few hours, I was freeziiiiiiing...

End of my Rome's travelogue which means my Europe trip has almost come to the end. Next travelogue, I will share the days I spent in London before back to Malaysia. Stay Tuned.

I always told myself, "I must continue to blog my Europe trip (which happened on last 2 years +). If not, I won't go to Europe again!!!" Hahaaa.. Alright, I'm just kidding la but I always try my best to blog about my previous Europe trip. It was my first Europe trip and it gave me good & nice memory. Thus, I MUST blog! After Trevi Fountain and Gelato, we're here. I forgot how we reach here, we just followed the map and we keep seeing one fountain after another fountain. Fountains are the things you wouldn't miss out in Rome.

Guess where is our next destination?

I would name it as Pantheon Fountain because this fountain is placed right in front of the Pantheon.

We leave Pantheon and moving forward to another Piazza. A glance of Piazza Navona. There were many artist was drawing and selling their artwork.

I studied about Fountain of the Rivers before. There are 4 statues on this fountain and each represents a specific character. Google to find out more if you are interested.

The weather was extremely hot! Fortunately, the water at the fountain was cold and chilling.

This is not a statues, there was a real people with this golden clothes on. I was afraid he/she will faint cos standing under the hot sun.

We stopped to have our lunch before moving forward.

We ordered one set of "Menu Pizza", cost €14.50 and shared among us. From the set, we can choose our favourite pizza + choice of big salad or vegetables + grilled bread with tomato salad + and half liter water.

We ordered Pizza Diavola - tomato, mozzerella cheese and hot salami. Pizza at Rome is really yummy (no matter which flavour of pizza you order).

After a contented lunch, we continue to walk again. It was a long way before we reach the next destination but we enjoyed it although the weather was killing us.

MIGF 2011: Tatsu Japanese Cuisine @ Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur

Tatsu Japanese Cuisine at Intercontinental Hotel KL is one of the festival restaurant that participate in Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2011.

Tatsu provides a relaxing and cosy dining place. Besides that, there are also few different dining area that you can choose. The above is a private dining area which can fits up to 10 peoples.

Another cosy dining area that provides "sofa" seated. This kind of dining area will be great for drinking session.

Foods will be serve freshly from the chef to you when you sit at the bar area.

For the MIGF menu, Tatsu has prepared a 4 course-meal to indulge our tummy. Let's begin with the appetiser.

Four little dish was served as the appetizer.

A Combination of Japanese Yam and Fried Anchovy Bruschetta

Yam wasn't served warm but it still tasted not bad after all. The cherry tomato and crunchy anchovy is my favourite.

Tuna and Trifoliate Citrus Leaves with Wasabi sauce

Fresh tuna with wasabi sauce was great. The taste of the wasabi was moderate and wasn't too strong.

Sushi Roll with Eel, Avocado and Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab served with Almond Sauce
My favourite sushi! Nothing much to complain about. It just taste good!

Avocado and Sweet Shrimp with Spiced Cod Roe

Next dishes - prawns & foie gras which I quite impressed because both were cooked perfectly.

Sautéed Tiger Prawns and Eryngii Mushrooms topped with Japanese Soba Sauce

It taste slight salty cos of the teriyaki sauce but overall taste great.

This is the main dishes and the portion is quite generous. Everyone was given 3 mini rolls of green tea rice. So healthy yay... The rice taste plain but it was perfect when served it together with the beef + sauces that prepared by the chefs.

Friendly and nice waitress help us to grilled the beef on the stone grill.

It takes around 5-7 minutes to grill the beef.

Lastly, sinful dessert yet you couldn't resist. There are 5 sticks of dried fruits that comes with a pot of chocolate + red bean fondue. All of us were so happy and keep playing with the dried fruit tempura.

MIGF 2011 - Al- Amar @ Pavilion KL

I was thrilled when I received the invitation to attend a food tasting review at Al-Amar Central Kitchen. Because, I can't wait to try their MIGF menu this year especially the dessert!!! Look at the picture below. I can't take my eyes off, it was so BEAUTIFUL!

"wanna have a bite?"

Al-Amar is a restaurant that serving authentic Lebanese foods. I guess, there are not much people out there have try Lebanese foods before. Some people are afraid of the taste that couldn't suit their taste. Honestly, it taste weird when I first try Lebanese foods last year. But this year, I looking forward for the food tasting session after I have tried the foods during the MIGF launching which held at Sunway Hotel.

This year, MIGF theme is "It's raining chef". So, Al-Amar has came out with a creative idea - four season menu. You could pair it with or without wine, priced at RM98++ and RM138++.

There are total 5 course meal at a very reasonable and cheap price.

Sunny Start

Authentic Labneh Trio with Lebanese Southern Tapenade and a Brush of Thyme

The presentation is colorful with 3 different flavors of cheese ball & a breadstick. The cheese ball was coated with dried mint, dried thyme and paprika with chili.

"JOM makan!" (Let's eat)

Dried mint is my favorite because I like the chilling and refreshing taste. yumm..

Summer Blooms

Apricot Glazed Beetroot Tartar on Mango Leather and Rocket Coulis

A lovely and colorful dish which so matching with its theme - summer blooms. It looks like a blooming flower during summer. Everything on the plate is eatable, even the flowers! Cool right? The purple colour beetroots was presented in cubed and it taste slightly sweet. It was quite refreshing too. At the bottom of the beetroot was a thin slice of mango leather. The whole idea for this dish is perfect and awesome!! It is so cheering when you're enjoying it.

Autumn

Spinach Bonbon, Soujouk Mille Feuille and Herb Crust Filled with Hommos and Grass Fed Baby Lamb Fillet

Spinach Bonbon (bottom) is crispy and creamy which filled with spinach filling. For Soujouk Mille Feuille (left), it is a lamb sausage topped with tomato sauce which create a flavorful taste.

Next on the Autumn dish - Herb Crust Filled with Hommos and Grass Fed Baby Lamb Fillet. It is such a cute creation. It is a herb patty which filled with the hummus.

For the main course "Raining Chefs", there are 2 choices.

1# Braised Rack of Lamb with Stuffed Baby Marrow and Vine Leaves Accompanied by a Garlic Mint Sauce

Sayadieh Rice.
It was one of the highlight, the rice was so flavorful and aromatic. Sayadieh rice is a Lebanese rice pilaf cooked with caramelized onions and broth.

This is the fish that serves together with the rice. It just simply taste delightful.

Raining Chef
2# Braised Rack of Lamb with Stuffed Baby Marrow and Vine Leaves Accompanied by a Garlic Mint Sauce

Braised rack of lamb (left) was juicy & tender.

Meat and rice was wrapped with the vine leaves. A piece of nicely grilled potato was beneath the vine leaves.

The filling was meat and rice too. The presentation is way too cute + colorful :)

Sunshine after the Rain

Nougat Glacé Laid on a Bed of Vanilla Pineapple Confit Served with Pineapple Sauce & Spiced Chocolate Shell

This is the dessert that I really looking forward!!!! The presentation was so colorful and cheerful.

Inside the shell was Cardamom Ice Cream and at the bottom of the chocolate shell was a piece of macaron. *the ice-cream melt because we were so busying taking the pictures for this lovely dishes*

Pour the pineapple sour to enhance the taste.

Chefs at Al-Amar always did a great job! All the foods are present in a creative way.

After the breakfast, we were brought by the owner of Al-Amar, Mr Joseph to have a short tour in the kitchen. The kitchen is well-organized and most importantly - CLEAN! All of us were required to wear the cap before entering the kitchen.

Besides that, Al Amar’s Executive Pastry Chef - Chef Qoutyba Faki show us the process in making the pastry. We are going to make a fruit tart!

These are the process to make the fruit tart. After that, we were given the chance to decorate the tart with fruits. Be creative!

Have you ever been to the Chinese Museum in Malaysia before? There is one Chinese Museum located at Kuching, Sarawak. It was an interesting trip to explore the history about the Chinese who came from China and live their life in Borneo.

The only Chinese Histroy Museum in Sarawak by the river.

There are 7 major types of Chinese Dialects - Foo Chow, Cantonese, Hok Kien, Hainan, Chao Ann, Teo Chew, Hakka and other dialects. Most of the Chinese from Sarawak speak in Foo Chow.

Til today, we still celebrate and have fun in these festival besides Hungry Ghost Festival (for the christian). Here are the major festival - mid autumn (mooncake festival), winter solstice, chinese new year, qing ming, dragon boat festival and hungry ghost festival.

Not to forget the lion head! which is quite important to Chinese during Chinese New Year or whenever some celebration is going on.

This is quite interesting - Family Name.

I found mine! My family name is 岑 (cen).

Well, this is not my family name. It is my middle name 乐 (le) which means happiness.
